Well now there is a good question. In the words of former Cardinals head coach Dennis Green, because, "They were who we thought they were. You want to crown them, then crown their #$%^@, but they were who we thought they were, and we let em off the hook!" The big momentum shift came after San Diego punted, and a blown special teams assignment let Santonio Holmes run a it back for 6. It was pretty much downhill from there. San Diego spent the second half unable to get their defense off the field, and just didn't have things go their way (i.e. the kick that hit Weddle in the helmet, or the INT that got batted up). It just wasn't their day, and credit to Pittsburgh, though San Diego should have played a better game.
